Cooking for 4th July with Drew&Cole

4th July is a brilliant foodie occasion and a real opportunity to make some delicious, American meals at home. Luckily for you, we’ve pulled together some of our favourite meals you can cook in the Pressure King Pro to celebrate.

Delicious cheese-stuffed burgers

Here in the UK, the idea of steaming a burger may seem a little odd. However, it’s not all that weird across the pond. If you’re looking to cook extremely juicy and tasty burgers then this is definitely the way to go.

Our cheese-stuffed burger recipe is inspired by the folks over in Connecticut who are believed to have invented the steamed cheeseburger way back in the 1920s. Nothing says 4th July more than a bit of American history!

In just 15 minutes, the Pressure King Pro steams your burgers to perfection. Serve in burger buns with crisp lettuce, slices of tomato and gherkins. Oh, and lashings of your favourite burger sauce. We promise you’ll be converted to steaming burgers in no time.

Classic American mac & cheese

A staple of American cuisine is undoubtedly a creamy and classic mac and cheese.

Normally, you would need a colander, whisk, a load of pans and oodles of time to perfect mac and cheese. Sounds like a right faff to us.

You can cook our American-inspired recipe in just 8 minutes in the Pressure King Pro, so there’s no waiting around for your 4th July dish. That’s really quite speedy! It’s also one of the easiest recipes we have on the Drew&Cole site too which means it’s totally foolproof for anyone who is new to the Pressure King Pro.

Messy Sloppy Joes

Sloppy who now? Yeah, this meal isn’t common in the UK but is perfect for celebrating 4th July! Sloppy Joes was invented in the US during the 1930s, apparently by a chef named Joe. Makes sense.

As tasty as it is messy, it’s perfect for the whole family to enjoy (as long as you have napkins at the ready!) With a combined prep and cook time of 15 minutes, the Pressure King Pro is guaranteed to relieve some of that dinner time stress.
