Ingredients
50g popcorn kernels
1-2 tbsp (vegetable oil or coconut oil)
Salt to taste (optional)

The Method
Use a microwave-safe popcorn bag or a microwave-safe bowl with a cover. If using a bowl, make sure it has high sides to prevent popcorn from overflowing.
Place the popcorn kernels in the bag or bowl and add 1-2 tablespoons of oil. You can use vegetable oil or melted coconut oil. This helps the popcorn pop evenly.
If you like, sprinkle a pinch of salt over the popcorn kernels. You can also add other seasonings like chili powder, or cinnamon for added flavour.
If using a popcorn bag, follow the instructions on the packaging for folding and sealing. If using a bowl, cover it with a microwave-safe plate or a microwave-safe popcorn popper cover.
Place the bag or bowl in the microwave. Select the Microwave function, the power will be on full (HIGH P100), press Start to confirm the power. Adjust the cooking time to 3 minutes with the control knob, then press the Start. (Or until the popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops)
Be cautious when opening the bag or removing the cover from the bowl, as hot steam will escape.
If you didn't season the popcorn before, you can add salt or other seasonings to taste.
Toss the popcorn to distribute the seasonings evenly and enjoy!
