Ingredients
50g oats
225ml cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1/2 medium-sized apple, peeled and diced
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Chopped nuts or raisins for topping (optional)

The Method
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the oats, diced apple, ground cinnamon, and milk.
Place the bowl in the microwave and select the Microwave function, the power will be on full (HIGH P100). Press Start to confirm the power then adjust the cooking time to 2 minutes with the control knob and press Start. Keep an eye on it to prevent overflow.
Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and stir the mixture. This helps distribute the heat and ensures even cooking.
Put the bowl back in the microwave and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the oats are fully cooked, and the porridge reaches your desired consistency.
If you like your porridge sweeter, stir in honey or maple syrup to taste.
Sprinkle with additional ground cinnamon and top with chopped nuts, raisins or apple slices if desired.
Allow the porridge to cool for a minute before serving. It will thicken as it cools.
Stir once more before serving and enjoy!
Note: Try experimenting with different toppings such as sliced bananas, shredded coconut, or a dollop of yogurt. Adjust the sweetness and cinnamon levels according to your taste.
