This iconic dish is made quick and easy by the Clever Chef. This recipe is perfect for batch cooking and freezing for later in the week.
This is best topped with chopped basil and grated parmesan, with some garlic bread on the side.
1 tbsp olive or cooking oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled and finely chopped
2 celery sticks, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, crushed
1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes
500g tomato passata
125ml beef stock
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Select the SAUTE function and press START, then add the oil and allow to heat. Add the onion, carrot, celery and garlic and stir regularly for ~5 minutes until the veg begins to soften.
Add the mince and continue cooking for a further 5 minutes until the mince begins to brown, then press CANCEL.
Add the tomatoes, passata, stock and oregano and stir to combine.
Close the lid and select the DIY function. Adjust the temperature to 100°C and the time to 30 minutes, then press START.
When the program has finished, open the lid and stir in cooked spaghetti, or serve over cooked spaghetti instead.
