Sausage Carbonara

This 4 ingredient carbonara is so tasty and simple to make, won’t break the bank, and is perfect for lunches the next day.

Best sprinkled with chopped parsley and a good helping of cracked black pepper.


6 pork sausages, thickly sliced

300g tagliatelle

2 large eggs

100g parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper (to taste)

The Method

Select the SAUTE function, then add the sausages. Stir occasionally for ~5 minutes to brown the sausages, then remove and set aside.

Add the pasta followed by enough water to cover the pasta. Close the lid, select the PASTA function and press START. This will bring the liquid up to temperature.

When your CleverChef beeps, press START again to begin the program.

When the program has finished, open the lid and drain most of the liquid, leaving around a cup full in the inner pot.

Select the SAUTE function and stir in the eggs and cheese until a sauce is formed, then stir in the cooked sausages for ~3 minutes to warm through.
