Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
400g can chopped tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
85g sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp tomato purée
Salt & pepper
Makes Sauce for 4-8x 12-inch pizzas

The Method
Heat oil in a saucepan and add the onion & garlic. Cook for 4-5 mins, until softened.
Add the remaining ingredients, season and stir.
Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 mins. Then blitz the mixture in a food processor or with a hand blender until super smooth.
It is suitable to then use this sauce straight away whilst hot, after cooling or straight from the fridge once chilled.
