Air Fryer Roast Chicken

You don’t need the oven to enjoy a flavourful, crispy roast chicken!


Medium free-range chicken (approx. 1.3kg)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, bashed but with skins left on
½ bunch thyme
1 lemon

The Method

Season the chicken liberally with salt and pepper, then rub with the oil, ensuring it is completely coated.

Cut the lemon in half and put inside cavity with the garlic and most of the thyme.

Place the chicken on the Oven Tray and place this on Short Oven Rack and put this on a microwavable plate (this will collect the juices from the chicken as it cooks). Add to the microwave.

Select the Air Fry function and set the cooking time to 60 minutes using the control knob, then press Start.

Decorate with the remaining thyme and leave to rest for 10 minutes before carving.
