Home Baked Beans
Canned beans might be cheap and easy but a quick glance at the salt and sugar content might give you a shock! With home baked beans, you know what’s gone in to the recipe and they’re much tastier too.
Serve on toast with some grated cheese or as a side to your full English.
1 tbsp olive or cooking oil
2 x 400g cans of haricot beans
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
½ onion, finely chopped
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp onion granules
1 tsp mustard powder (or mustard)
½ tsp mixed herbs
60ml cider vinegar
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
2 x cans of chopped tomatoes, blended

Select the BROWNING function, add the oil and allow to heat. Add the garlic and onion and stir regularly for ~3 minutes until the onion begins to soften.
Add the herbs and spices and stir to combine for a further 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine then press CANCEL.
Put the lid on and close the pressure valve then select the STEW function and adjust the time to 15 minutes.
When the program has finished press CANCEL. For this recipe we recommend the QUICK RELEASE method before opening the pressure valve and removing the lid.
