Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 stick celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp sugar
650ml vegetable stock
100ml cream
salt and pepper (to taste)

The Method
Select the SAUTE function, add the oil and allow to heat. Add the onions, celery and garlic and stir regularly for 2 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add the rest of the ingredients, apart from the cream and stir to combine, then cancel the SAUTE function.
Put the lid on and select the SMOOTH function.
When the program has finished, open the lid and stir in 2/3rds the cream, season to taste. Serve in bowls with an extra swirl of cream.
