Sloppy Joes (PKP 4.8L & 5.7L)

This sloppy joe recipe from across the pond is as tasty as it is messy.

Serve in lightly toasted burger buns with plenty of napkins at the ready.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive or cooking oil

600g beef mince

1 onion, chopped

1 green (or red) pepper, chopped

3 garlic cloves, crushed

200ml tomato ketchup

1 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp mustard

50ml water

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Suitable for: Pressure King Pro 4.8L - 14-in-1 Digital Pressure CookerPressure King Pro 5.7L - 14-in-1 Digital Pressure Cooker

The Method

Select the SAUTE function, add the oil and allow to heat. Add the mince and onion and stir regularly for about 3 minutes until the onion begins to soften.

Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine.

Put the lid on and close the pressure valve then select the STEW/SOUP function and adjust the time to 7 minutes.

When the program has finished press CANCEL. For this recipe we recommend the QUICK RELEASE method before opening the pressure valve and removing the lid.

Season to taste and depending on the consistency, use the SAUTE function again to reduce the sauce.

Serve in lightly toasted burger buns
