Ingredients
2 slices of rye bread (or your preferred bread)
3-4 slices pastrami or salt beef
1–2 tbsp sauerkraut (drained)
1-2 slices Emmental (or your choice of melting cheese)
1 tsp Thousand Island (optional but recommended)
1-2 tsp butter (for spreading on the outside)

The Method
Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
Place one slice (butter-side down) into the Clever Micro Toastie.
Add a slice of cheese, the pastrami/salt beef, sauerkraut, and a dollop of dressing if using.
Place the second slice of rye bread on top (butter-side up).
Close the Clever Micro Toastie by clipping the top and bottom together.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes 30 seconds, then flip and microwave for another 1 minute 30 seconds for a golden-brown finish.
Carefully remove, let it cool slightly, and enjoy your New York deli-style rye toastie!
Tips
Toastie Cooking Times: Light Browning: 2mins - flip - 1 min
Medium Browning: 2mins 30 secs - flip - 1min 30 secs
High Browning: 3 mins – flip – 2 mins
