 High-Protein Chicken & Avocado Bagel Toastie 

Ingredients

1 wholegrain or protein bagel, sliced  

50g -75g cooked chicken breast (shredded or chopped)  

½ ripe avocado  

1–2 slices of cheese   

Salt, pepper, chilli flakes to taste  

A spoonful of Greek yogurt or low-fat mayo for creaminess (optional)   

A small handful of baby spinach

The Method

Mash the avocado with a pinch of salt, pepper, and chilli flakes. Stir in the chicken and add a spoonful of Greek yogurt or mayo if using. 

Spread the chicken-avocado mixture onto the bottom half of the bagel. Add the cheese slice on top. 

Close with the top half of the bagel. 

Place the bagel sandwich into the Clever Micro Toastie. 

Clip the top and bottom together to close. 

Microwave on high for 2 minutes 30 seconds, then flip and cook for another 1 minute 30 seconds for a golden-brown finish. 

Carefully open the toastie maker, add the spinach, and close again gently if needed (just for a moment to wilt). 

Let it cool slightly, then enjoy! 

Tips

Toastie Cooking Times: Light Browning: 2mins - flip - 1 min   
Medium Browning: 2mins 30 secs - flip - 1min 30 secs 
High Browning: 3 mins – flip – 2 mins 

Note: You can also use grated cheese
